About

Clare Pentelow, Registered Social Worker & Psychotherapist Serving Kitchener-Waterloo and Surrounding Areas

Drawing on over ten years of meaningful experience within the mental health field, including valuable work at respected organizations like the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and KW Counselling, I bring a thoughtful and compassionate approach to my private psychotherapy practice in Kitchener-Waterloo. For more than a decade, it has been my privilege to support individuals as they navigate their unique paths toward healing and growth. Witnessing the resilience and transformative potential within each person I work with continues to inspire me, and I consider it an honour to walk alongside my clients on their personal journeys.

My educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology from the University of Guelph (2005) and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto (2009). Committed to providing effective and evidence-based care, I actively pursue ongoing professional development in the area of psychotherapy. My areas of specialized training encompass Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Somatic approaches, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
